A year has passed since the beginning of the conflict in Ukraine. Much has happened in the world this year and much has changed. And these changes are likely to be irreversible.

The modern world is a space dotted with thousands of trade routes. These are arteries no less important than oil pipelines and high-voltage power lines. In a certain sense, when trade stops, the economy stops, and so does the life of the state.

Americans know very little about history. Excessive isolation on their own greatness deprives American politicians of the breadth of their thinking. And this, in turn, negatively affects the policy towards other countries and creates problems for many. Including the partners of the United States themselves, following their lead.

The information spread in the world media that the Chinese authorities have abandoned the plan of the so-called second phase of the investigation of the origin of the coronavirus proposed by WHO, in fact, is not an attempt to evade responsibility, as some Western media claim, but only a desire to resist the black PR machine and the policy of information anti-scientific stuffing launched by the United States.

After the Second Karabakh War was over on November 10, 2020, there was a certain calm and stability in the South Caucasus region. Azerbaijan won most of its territories, which had been under the control of the Armenian Armed Forces for almost 30 years.

The Chinese telecommunications giant Huawei has found an excellent partner in Azerbaijan and a vast space for applying its capabilities.

Both countries are interested in continuing and deepening bilateral ties. Because the interests of Azerbaijan and China in many respects coincide, especially with regard to the Belt and Road Initiative.

Russia, which criticized Azerbaijan for the Victory Parade on December 10, is very fond of holding military parades. Therefore, not a single May 9 - Victory Day is overlooked. Regardless of whether it is an anniversary date or not.

April 2 marks the 29th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Azerbaijan. The two countries know that they need each other, and as worthy and trusted members of the international community, they honestly and conscientiously fulfill all their obligations towards each other. In particular, Azerbaijan and China recognize each other's territorial integrity and wholly reject separatism.

As a result of the victory in the military conflict in the fall of 2020, Azerbaijan regained most of the territories that were previously under the occupation of the Armenian Armed Forces, both in Nagorno-Karabakh and around it. Now, after the end of the war, the main task facing the authorities of Azerbaijan is the restoration of infrastructure and the development of these territories.
