Sara Minkara, who lost her eyesight when she was seven years old, will work towards disrupting "the narrative surrounding disability through both empowering youths with disabilities individually and accelerating authentic inclusion globally," according to the White House.
The announcement falls in line with Biden's promises to have the most diverse cabinet in the nation's history as he had underscored the importance for his administration, both in the White House and the cabinet, to reflect the country.
