Major stock markets in Europe opened mixed on Thursday as investors reflected on company earnings and prepared for upcoming financial reports. Airbus, Unicredit, Volkswagen, Shell, Stellantis and Total already published their earnings results prior to the opening bell.
Major stock markets in Europe opened mixed on Thursday as investors reflected on company earnings and prepared for upcoming financial reports. Airbus, Unicredit, Volkswagen, Shell, Stellantis and Total already published their earnings results prior to the opening bell, Baku Tribune reports citing Breaking News. Notably, data on Germany's unemployment rate and EU Consumer Confidence are also expected to be released today, as well as the European Central Bank's decision on interest rates. The DAX opened 0.12% in the red, as Volkswagen lost 2.29%. Similarly, FTSE 100 was down by 0.20%, with Ferguson PLC trading 1.37% lower. The CAC 40 began the day 0.26% higher. The euro and the pound both remained flat against the dollar trading for $1.15971 and $1.37522 respectively at 8:59 am CET.
