The import prices in Germany yearly increased by 17.7% in September narrowly going under market estimates, according to a report published by the Federal Statistics Office on Friday. Meanwhile, the import prices increased by 1.3% on a monthly basis.

Meanwhile, the import prices increased by 1.3% on a monthly basis, Baku Tribune reports citing Breaking News. According to the report, the high price increase is mainly caused by energy price developments, as energy imports were 107.1% more expensive in September 2021 than in September 2020. Additionally, the import prices index, excluding crude oil and mineral oil products, recorded a yearly increase of 14.7% and rose by 1.3% compared to August 2021. On the other hand, the export prices index recorded the highest year-on-year-change since January 1975 with an increase of 8.1%. The index rose by 0.9% compared to August of 2021.
