President Ilham Aliyev laid a wreath at the national leader`s grave, and first lady Mehriban Aliyeva laid flowers. They paid tribute to the memory of the national leader. The state anthem of Azerbaijan was played. Then, they have paid tribute to the memory of the head of state and his wife, lifelong companion, prominent ophthalmologist-scientist, academician Zarifa Aliyeva, and laid flowers on the grave. President Ilham Aliyev and first lady Mehriban Aliyeva have also laid the flowers on the graves of prominent statesman Aziz Aliyev and well-known doctor-scientist Tamerlan Aliyev.
