It is quite obvious that the Armenian militants tried to penetrate into the territory of Azerbaijan, where the Azerbaijani border guards carry out their service, but they encountered a polite, but at the same time decisive opposition from our servicemen. It has to be stressed, that this is not quite the first provocation of Armenian militants against Azerbaijani border guards. On April 21, the Armenian side committed a provocation on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border. On the same evening, drunken Armenian servicemen fired at the positions of the State Border Service units stationed in the village of Seyidlyar of the Zangilan region on the Azerbaijani-Armenian state border. Taking into account the appeal of the Russian side, the Azerbaijani border guards showed restraint and did not begin to return fire.
