Azerbaijan’s resolute and unequivocal position on so-called and fake “Armenian genocide” is clear to all. If such step is taken by the new US Administration, it will be a historical mistake, said Assistant to the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Head of Foreign Policy Affairs Department of the Presidential Administration Hikmat Hajiyev, Baku Tribune reports. H. Hajiyev noted that Azerbaijan has always opposed the attempts on recognition of the so-called "Armenian genocide": “Recognition of the so-called "Armenian genocide" is falsifying of history. History should be studied by historians. If this happens, Azerbaijan will strongly condemn it. President Ilham Aliyev stated repeatedly that any step against Turkey is against Azerbaijan and any step against Azerbaijan is also against Turkey. We would like to hope that the US administration will not make a historical mistake.”
