Azerbaijan Defence Ministry responds to Armenia’s provocative reports
Reports that the positions of the Armenian armed forces in Khnatsakh village of Gorus district on the border with Azerbaijan’s Lachin district are allegedly surrounded by the Azerbaijani army and that the Armenians may lose their post at any monument are groundless, the Azerbaijani Ministry of Defence.
Azerbaijan’s ministry stressed that the reports are exaggerated and distorted.
“We inform that units of our army are deployed to the positions in the territory of Azerbaijan’s Lachin district bordering Armenia’s Gorus and carry out service in the sovereign territories of our country on a daily basis, which does not pose any threat,” the ministry said.
“We urge Armenia’s certain circles disseminating this kind of information not to cause a panic and mislead the Armenian public and recommend them forever get used to the Azerbaijani military serving on the state border of the two countries along Azerbaijan’s Zangilan, Gubadli, Lachin and Kalbajar districts liberated from occupation,” it added.
