Azerbaijan launches shelter for vulnerable people in Khankendi
Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of Population has opened a shelter for 30 people from vulnerable communities in the city of Khankendi.
A three-story building located in the center of Khankendi was made available in this regard. It has 30 bedrooms, water supply, electric power system, a kitchen, a bathroom, a rest room, and a laundry room. The admission to the shelter started on October 10, 2023.
6 people were accommodated in the shelter so far, with 1 provided with medical services. A total of 11 people benefited from the shelter services.
Moreover, the representatives of the International Committee of the Red Cross visit the shelter several times a day to familiarize themselves with the conditions created and the social services provided there.
The Rocket and Artillery formations of the Azerbaijan Army conduct live-fire exercises in accordance with the combat training plan for 2021, the Ministry of Defense of Azerbaijan told Baku Tribune.
