I was warmly welcomed at the Azerbaijan University - Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University and paid more attention than at other universities where I had previously studied. Because I am the only foreign student in my group.
David Dilshan, a student of the Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University (ASOIU), who arrived from Sri Lanka, told Baku Tribune about this.
According to him, he is a first-year undergraduate student in business administration.
“Before studying in Azerbaijan, I completed a preparatory program in business administration at the Plekhanov Russian University of Economics (PRUE) in Moscow. I graduated from the Russian language program at Mozyr State Pedagogical University named after I.P. Shamyakin in Belarus. He graduated from high school in Sri Lanka,” said D. Dilshan
He said that before entering the university, on the recommendation of his acquaintances, he conducted a study about ASOIU.
“During my studies, I realized that this is exactly the university where I want to study. I wanted to get valuable knowledge from highly qualified teachers and communicate with different nations. Therefore, I applied to ASOIU, and they accepted me. Now I am happy with my choice.
Before coming to Azerbaijan, I thought that studying at an Azerbaijani university would be a new challenge in my life. However, I was pleased to communicate with Azerbaijanis, because during the time of communication with them, I saw only their attention and warmth. In Azerbaijan, I noticed incredible hospitality.
I highly recommend ASOIU to other students who really want to get a quality education and study in Azerbaijan. Because there are all conditions for obtaining a quality education. I am happy that my future profession is born within the walls of the Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University. I always feel that this is my university.
I think that Azerbaijan is very attractive in terms of education and travel. And I would advise every foreign student to start learning the Azerbaijani language. This is very important when you live in a foreign country.
Studying in Azerbaijan is an invaluable new experience in life, it is daily language practice with native speakers, new useful and interesting acquaintances. After all, this is an opportunity to become a specialist at the international level,” said D. Dilshan.
