Baku Tribune presents an interview with a student of the Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University Kirtivasan Karunaniti.
- Why did you choose an Azerbaijani university?
- I came from India. I am currently pursuing a bachelor's degree from the Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University. I am studying to be a mechanical engineer. Indeed, this is my second year at this university. I learned about the future career prospects provided by the university from a friend of Rakesh from India who works in the student coordination department in Azerbaijan. Over the past years, I have been closely following all the news related to Azerbaijan, especially the Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University. Thus, I decided to enter this university.
- How do you assess the level of education in this university?
- The quality of education suits me. There are no problems with access to information. There are all conditions for getting a good education. Of course, there is always a place to move on. There are proposals and innovations that I would recommend - we are talking about attracting highly qualified teachers of foreign languages to work at the university. Highly qualified and competent teachers are the basis for a fair and efficient education system.
- Are you satisfied with the living conditions in the dormitory of the university?
- This is a new project, rich in its infrastructure and a clean ecological zone, where parks, coffee houses, a zoo are located. In order to learn better, it is necessary to create conditions for this purpose. In this regard, university dormitories are an ideal place to focus your attention only on your studies. Such places, in my opinion, are intended to provide students with a favorable environment for their bright future.
- Azerbaijan is famous all over the world for its rich history of tolerance towards all races and religions. Did you feel a strong friendly shoulder while in Azerbaijan?
- In fact, I respect different religions, and every person has the right to freedom of thought and religion. Since my stay in Azerbaijan, I have seen quite a few people of different religions and cultures. Representatives of national minorities in Azerbaijan, as I was told, and as I saw with my own eyes when I visited the village of Red Village, live in conditions of mutual understanding and friendship. I like Azerbaijan, responsive and hospitable people live here. I like to study and live in Azerbaijan.
- How do you like Azerbaijani cuisine?
- Azerbaijani dishes of excellent quality. I tried Azerbaijani baklava. The taste is just amazing.
