"A terrorist opened fire on civilians in the street with an automatic rifle, then crossed to another street and targeted civilians there as well" in the Beni Barak city, a police statement said. It said the attacker was killed by security forces. No further information on the identities of the attackers or victims were given. Following the shooting attack, a large number of security personnel and medical teams were dispatched to the city of Bnei Brak. Meanwhile, a statement by the Israeli Prime Minister’s office said that the country’s Prime Minister Naftali Bennett will hold a security consultation on tonight’s incident with defense and public security ministers and other security officials.
