The aircraft operated in an "unsafe and unprofessional manner," Kirby explained during a press conference.
The flight, during which the helicopter circled the US vessel three times, ended without any impact on the ship or its operations, he added.
The Rocket and Artillery formations of the Azerbaijan Army conduct live-fire exercises in accordance with the combat training plan for 2021, the Ministry of Defense of Azerbaijan told Baku Tribune.
