Supply disruptions on one side and higher demand for goods on the other "is the recipe" for delays and higher prices, he said while delivering a speech in Baltimore, Maryland. "Consumer prices remain too high," making people feel "unsettled about the economy," he noted, adding that the White House is "tracking these issues and trying to figure out how to tackle them head-on."
Biden also revealed that he "spoke with the CEOs of the major retailers... and the leading freight movers," who "assured" him "that the shelves will be stocked in stores this holiday" season.
